About Shamanic Healing

"Faith is above all else open-ness, an act of trust in the unknown"

Shamanic Energy Healing

In Shamanic healing, healers work in sacred space, a healing sphere that is pure, spiritual and ultimately safe. We call on the healing power of nature, our power animals, luminous spirit, medicine men and women, and helping spirits who assist us from the Spirit world. Shamanic Energy Healing refers to healing modalities that have been practiced for centuries in indigenous cultures around the world, and have evolved to embrace contemporary society.

Connecting with all of these resources, Toni works outside of linear space and time to release the energy that holds an old pattern in place and restore positive energy to move forward. This release and restoration allows us to engage from a place of freedom, healing past trauma and wounding based on early attachment experiences, and realize the transformation that we all desire.

The word Shaman originated in Siberia; and it is now used to refer to indigenous teachings and energy healing practices from around the world. Shamanic Healing addresses the energetic and spiritual aspects of illness and emotional suffering to bring you into harmony with self. This healing can be emotionally transformative, and, in some instances, may produce an improvement in physical health.

Shamanic Healing processes can be thought of in two broad areas:
·    1. the removal of incompatible or blocking energies
·    2. the restoration of self supportive, positive, and light-filled energies.

Toni may employ a number of Shamanic Methods depending upon the nature of the problem presented by the client. Oftentimes the process that is used is in response to a “journey of inquiry”, that Toni will make in order to obtain healing information from her helping spirits and power animal. It is in unison with her helping guides and spirits that Toni is able to perform these healing sessions.

A shamanic journey can be described as a method of entering an altered state of consciousness using the beat of a drum or a rattle to gain access to helping spirits in non-ordinary reality for guidance and help. Most modern day shaman’s do not use hallucinogenic plants to enter non-ordinary reality. The beat of the drum or the rattle creates a brain wave pattern that induces a trance like state where non-ordinary reality can be entered. Scientific study has found that when we are in an ordinary state of consciousness our brain waves are in a beta state. But when the shaman or shamanic practitioner listens to a rhythmic or monotonous drum beat, the brain waves slow down, first to an alpha state, which is a light, meditative state of consciousness, and then into a deeper state called a theta state. And that’s the state that allows the shaman’s free soul to journey into the invisible worlds having access to helping spirits.

I can also teach my client how to journey for themselves, and will instruct on how to journey to the Upper, Middle, and Lower Worlds.

The processes and methods I use are based on training with my teachers, including:

C Girvani Leerer, Kent Dorsey, Greg “Wilder” Harper, Holly Holmes-Meredith, Alberto Villoldo, Sandra Ingerman, the writings of Hank Wesselman, Oscar Miro Quesada, the Andean traditions of the Q’ero and on the direct guidance from my helping spirits and guides.
